After founding Focus Films in 1982 and until the success of his first feature film in 1995, David was concurrently the managing director of a group of financial service companies. He has also been a film industry consultant, conducting seminars on film development and finance under the auspices of the NSCTP of the UK's National Film and Television School.
David holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) degree and a BA Philosophy (Hons) degree from University College London.
A co-founder of Focus Films, Marsha is intimately involved with the company’s productions and her contributions include research and conceptual designs for mise en scène.
Her early writing successes were in television and she is currently developing two of her own feature film projects.
Marsha holds a BA in Languages and Drama, and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of London.
Malcolm has worked as a freelance writer and producer since 1978. His first commissioned work was for the classic BBC sci-fi series, DR WHO; his first feature film as writer and co-producer was the $10 million The Fourth Reich (1990); and he developed and produced Secret Society, Julie's Geist, The 51st State and The Bone Snatcher for Focus Films.
Malcolm holds a BA in Journalism and a postgraduate Diploma in Film and Television from Middlesex Polytechnic.
From 1984 until 1996, Peter worked in the City of London and then as a management consultant for A.T. Kearney, where he concentrated on strategy, turnarounds, new business establishment and corporate venturing.
His specialist skills in arranging complex financial transactions led him toward a career in advising on funding for film projects.
Peter holds degrees from Lancaster University and the London Business School, and he is also a Sloan Fellow.
After several years working in the audiovisual sector as a technician and professional musician, Raimund changed career and pursued his passion for film. Whilst working as a freelance corporate Producer, he graduated with a MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School, where he concentrated on producing. His graduation film "The Trousseau" by Afia Nkrumah was completely filmed on location in Ghana and won praise from several prominent directors within the Industry. Since 2005 Raimund converted an internship to a permanent post at Focus Films, where he is involved in a range of activities from script evaluation through budgeting to production co-ordination.

Jonny has worked in the film industry since the age of 18. He graduated in 2003 from the New York Film Academy. Prior to joining Focus Films, Jonny worked for a number of film companies, including BBC Films and Michael Winterbottom’s Revolution Pictures. Jonny’s main background was in product placement and copyright clearance. Some films Jonny worked on are “Run, Fatboy, Run”, “Doomsday”, “Hott Fuzz”, “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day” and “Children of Men”.
